Ashford Lasers (previously known as Laser Inspired Designs) is an award winning laser cutting, engraving and marking service provider. We are a small company based in Ashford, Kent and pride ourselves on the quality of work we produce, our customer service and the care and enthusiasm we show to each and every client.
We thrive on helping individuals and industries create a whole host of products; and our experience and expertise in the laser industry enables us to provide help and advice on client's projects - in turn, producing prototypes, products and projects confidently and correctly the first time.
Whether your project is a one-off, a prototype, multiple products or large volume orders, we are ready to work with you and create your project. We strive to provide cost-effective and professional services, whether that’s laser cutting, laser engraving, laser marking, vinyl cutting, fabrication or assembly; and offer tailored services to suit.
Working endlessly over the years to create our laser business, we have built a successful business and a great reputation. We get excited by the challenges our clients provide and have a positive "can-do" attitude which they love.

MEET OUR FOUNDER​

Meet Darren Bentley, the founder and owner of Ashford Lasers.
Starting off in 2013 and with just an afternoon's training in operating the laser, its operating software and digital design, Darren has taught himself how to create the perfect laser settings for each application. With a background in engineering (many, many years ago), Darren has a natural ability to understand the laser machine and its functions, enabling him to create the perfect outcome for our client's projects.
Darren is a family man; his wife Sam, sons Ethan and Luca; and dearly loved but sadly departed dogs: Chloe (Westie) and Digger Dog (Cavestie).
He has worked tirelessly over the years to create a hugely successful laser business, and with the help and support of Sam, Ethan and Luca, he's manged to create a business he's really proud of – even through the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his fairly limited spare time, Darren can often be found relaxing and playing on his Xbox.
OUR HISTORY
Laser Inspired Designs was formed in 2013; we changed the name in 2018. The company was originally set up to design, create and sell personalised gifts. However as the years went on, we found more and more clients were asking for us to laser cut their ideas, laser engrave their products and laser mark their metals, so we added these services to our portfolio.
The services part of the business took over, so we gave Laser Inspired Designs a new name and re-branded to Ashford Lasers. Our personalised gifts were side-lined until 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic when our sister company, The Little Gift Cabin, was set up to carry on with designing, creating and selling personalised gifts.
In 2021, we invested in more technology to include a dye-sublimation printer, a heat press and a large vinyl cutter; so now we are able to offer services using this extra technology to work alongside the laser.
